Tasks

-Oversees the development and implementation of inventory control programs to meet location inventory levels and turns. -Responsible for the overall operations, production, delivery, purchasing, and inventory control of the location. -Motivates employees, maintains a productive workforce, and trains successor management. Reviews and approves wage and salary increases and establishes objectives and performance measures. -Obtains feedback on customer satisfaction. -Communicates and enforces company policies and procedures, as well as Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, as they pertain to the daily functions of all departments. Acts as a liaison between employees and management to foster a healthy work environment. -Recommends capital improvements in view of forecasted demand for various products, efficiency of current equipment, etc. Institutes a cost-effective vehicle and equipment maintenance program. Reports obsolete equipment/facilities and submits recommendations regarding replacements or improvements. -Responsible for budget accountability and reporting as it pertains to the financial goals of the company. Works to establish standard cost, operating budgets, and acceptable inventory levels. Monitors expenses and creates new methods to improve each location's financial performance. -Staff Management - Includes staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating and process improvement; Provides regular performance feedback; Develops subordinates' skills and encourages growth; Solicits and applies customer feedback (internal and external); Fosters quality focus in others; Improves processes, products and services. -Cost Consciousness - Works within approved budget; Develops and implements cost saving measures; Contributes to profits and revenue; Conserves organizational resources. -Supports and reinforces company Safety initiatives to ensure compliance with all OSHA and DOT requirements. -Involved in the recruiting, hiring, and training process. Helps to create and enforce staffing measures that reduce employee turnover and help to increase company profits.
