Senior Electrical Assembler

Overview

Assemble, install, and test electrical systems and components in a manufacturing setting.

Tasks

-Learn and adhere to all manufacturing policies and practices to ensure consistent production -Install wiring by following standard work/process instructions (NEC Manual) -Install electrical devices (disconnects, lights, panel boards, transformers, battery chargers, lighting contactors, VFDs, etc.) -Install cable tray -Pull wire and large cable -Ensure that work areas remain clean and well organized -Frequently working from a ladder, and climbing up and down ladders. -Cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires -Learn and adhere to all safety policies and practices to avoid safety incidents -Install wireway -Bend, run, and install conduit (EMT and Rigid) -Ensure quality by following standard work/process instructions and identifying any potential risks to product quality

What You Bring

-Ability to crimp and terminate wires -Ability to read a tape measure -Employee is expected to meet or exceed established Senior Electrical Assembler productivity run rates -Experience installing wire way -Ability to read drawings (wiring diagrams, schematics, layout drawings) -Knowledge of air, hand, and power tools -Minimum of high school diploma or GED and 5+ year of relevant manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing experience -Basic mechanical knowledge -Able to generate a material take off -Working knowledge of relevant NEC Code sections and Powell Standards and Best Practices -Ability to bend conduit on a GB Sidewinder style bender (EMT and Rigid) -Ability to perform tasks with minimal direction or supervision -Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations -Working knowledge of electricity, circuits, and functions of common components (panel boards, transformers, disconnects, terminal blocks, relays, lighting contactors, etc) -Troubleshooting ability -Experience installing cable tray -Mentoring skills -Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally -Must have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbal
