Tasks

-Building interactive digital content using authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, or similar platforms to provide engaging and effective learning experiences. -Conducting needs analysis and content interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs) across Operations, Safety, Human Resources, and Quality. -Partnering with the Director of Training to define training paths aligned to role-based competency models and qualification cards. -Using the Kirkpatrick Model or similar frameworks to assess training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. -Supporting the development and maintenance of templates, design guidelines, and quality standards for all learning materials. -Applying adult learning principles, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and sound instructional design methodologies to create effective learning experiences. -Designing and developing learning materials that support technician and field development, including e-learning modules, classroom courses, simulations, videos, and job aids. -Creating visual assets (graphics, diagrams, infographics, videos) that enhance comprehension and engagement. -Managing content within the company’s Learning Management System (LMS), including version control, tagging, and reporting. -Structuring modular content that supports onboarding, progression, and ongoing professional development. -Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all learning materials. -Collaborating with the Technical Writer to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency between procedures and learning materials.

What You Bring

-Demonstrated ability to design and develop learning materials using tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Captivate, or Camtasia. -Have exposure to leadership or soft skills program design. -Technical Proficiency: Uses authoring and multimedia tools to develop engaging content. -Have experience developing learning content in industrial, utilities, or energy environments. -Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience). -Experience translating technical or procedural information into learner-friendly formats. -Strong writing, visual design, and organization skills. -3–5 years of experience in instructional design, learning development, or technical training. -Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. -Collaboration Skills: Works effectively with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts. -Experience managing projects, timelines, and multiple concurrent deliverables. -Can produce multimedia content (e.g., video editing, voiceover, graphics) -Are familiar with technician training programs, safety standards, and field operations. -Project Management Skills: Manages multiple development projects simultaneously with attention to deadlines and quality. -The person in this role must also be able to travel periodically to job sites and remote work locations to meet with subject matter experts (SMEs) and cross-functional partners for training development, content validation, and field observations. -Instructional Design Expertise: Applies learning theory and design methodologies effectively. -Strong grasp of adult learning theory, ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) or SAM (Successive Approximation Model) methodologies, and principles of engagement for technical audiences. -Bring experience with Learning Management System (LMS) administration and learning analytics.
