Overview

Lead design and development of embedded Linux firmware for smart infrastructure products.

Tasks

-Technical lead in all aspects of Embedded software architecture design. -Hands on troubleshooting issues on run-time environment. -Driving/taking lead for different Quality processes in product development to achieve required quality matrices like reviews for firmware artifacts (code and design reviews), code quality matrices , non-functional requirements such as performance and sizing, Root cause analysis techniques for problem solving -Integrate and validate new product designs. -Design and implement Software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment. -Development of Linux device drivers for peripherals such as UART, I2C, SPI, USB, Ethernet -Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources. -Support system/regression tests and optimize I/O performance. -Design, develop, code, test, debug (gdb , coredump) and review system software -Perform technical research, monitor current trends and changes in technology to assist in new product development. -Provide production/ post-production support. -Contributes to the development of strategic technology plans and project portfolio in own organization. -To apply and develop state-of-the-art research on Firmware Product-Lines. -Board bring up, Customization and optimization of Linux kernel, Bootloader (Uboot) for embedded targets.

What You Bring

-Proficient in tools such as Git, Azure DevOps, Scripting, Yocto, Buildroot, Perl. -Expertise in with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review. -Expertise in designing high performance oriented scalable embedded architecture. -Good Understanding of Memories, RAMs, storage devices, high speed devices like USB, Ethernet. -Know-how applications of power system management -Experience with cross compiler tool chain and build IDEs. -Proficient in multi-threaded programming and middleware solution development on Linux. Familiarity with multi-core programming, IPCs. -Know-how substation automation protocols IEC 60870-5-101/102/103/104, Modbus-RTU, DNP3, IEC 61850. -Strong documentation and writing skills -Solid programming experience in C/ C++. -Strong knowledge in OS/Kernel concepts. -Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components. -Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems. -Know-how substation automation technology / substation protection systems. -Strong hands-on knowledge min 6 years on Embedded Linux kernel internals & device drivers and rich hands-on experience in kernel driver development. -Know-how power system management (SCADA).
