The Role

Overview

Assist in installing and maintaining residential plumbing systems on construction sites.

Tasks

-Help with system testing and inspection to ensure compliance and functionality. -Report hazardous or unsafe working conditions to supervisors immediately. -Learn industry best practices through on-the-job training and mentorship. -Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, tools, and workspaces. -Collaborate with other trades and construction teams on-site to ensure timely project completion. -Retrieve, organize, and transport tools, materials, and equipment as needed. -Assist in the installation of residential plumbing systems including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and appliances. -Support both rough-in and trim-out phases of plumbing work. -Work is performed outdoors and indoors on active construction sites, often exposed to weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and dust. -Follow blueprints, project specifications, and local building codes. -Take direction from supervisors, communicate effectively with team members, and report any concerns promptly.

What You Bring

-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. -Demonstrate consistent attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. -Basic understanding of plumbing or construction is a plus. -Positive attitude and strong interpersonal communication skills. -Willing to travel to various job sites across the San Antonio area. -Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots must be worn at all times on job sites. -Physically able to perform tasks such as bending, crawling, kneeling, climbing ladders, and lifting heavy materials. -Willingness to learn the plumbing trade and work in a team environment. -Regularly required to stand, walk, climb stairs or ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs. -Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. -Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
