Tasks

-Train and mentor junior quality specialists and technicians. -Identify potential safety hazards and take all necessary corrective actions to eliminate or minimize them. -Examine and inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered; take corrective action as needed. -Listen to employee and supervisor suggestions, complaints, problems, safety concerns and recommendations, evaluate each and then devise and implement a plan of action based on that evaluation. -Assist in conducting project quality audits and reports. -Manage Procedure Specification log and files for assigned districts. -Maintain a thorough knowledge of the KIG Quality Management System and procedures and promote standardization. -Develop and complete Procedure Qualification Records and Civil Procedure Specifications. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Promote and maintain effective communications and relations (verbally and in writing) with district management, project management teams and engineers/clients as required. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Research technical matters and distribute reference material to support the district and projects.

What You Bring

-Must have the ability to run the quality reports and document process. -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -Regular, reliable attendance -Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with civil/infrastructure projects. (grading, utilities, concrete) -Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks with deadlines and potentially frequent interruptions -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Must be able to clearly communicate the status of quality on a project. -At least four years’ engineering or science degree or technical college degree plus two years’ experience in related construction field -Excellent communication and technical writing skills, ability to research and work with detailed/technical matters and convey/explain the information to field personnel -Ability to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint software programs as well as able to quickly learn other software applications
