The Role
Overview
Design UI/UX for Leviton's IoT, smart home, and building automation mobile/web apps.

Tasks
-Operates in an Agile development environment and will be expected to deliver feedback and final approval of UI/UX elements implemented by Developers on a regular basis -Contributes to user research and usability testing by developing user interface mockups and interactive prototypes to support design validation -Creates design deliverables as needed throughout the product development life cycle including user flows, wireframes, high fidelity prototypes, and graphical assets -Works closely with stakeholders to gather and define UI/UX requirements for overall product strategy -Perform regular evaluations and audits of Leviton apps and web apps to identify pain points, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement to enhance the overall user experience -Constantly stays current with UI/UX trends in the market, design styles, and emerging technologies -Responsible for delivering UI/UX designs, style guides, and graphics to the Engineering team for development

What You Bring
-Experience with user-centered design methodologies -Understanding of web accessibility guidelines and how to test designs for compliance -Up to 20% travel -Expert Figma user with ability to create wire frames, prototypes, and design system components -Excellent teamwork, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills -Three or more years of UI/UX experience with a portfolio demonstrating effective user-centered design solutions -Has a thorough understanding of software development and assists in software development as needed -Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. -Experience with Smart Home applications a plus -Must possess entrepreneurial spirit and have the capability to work in an independent work environment -Ability to manage and lead small projects -Design experience, developing mobile and web applications preferred -Bachelor’s degree; BFA, BA, or BS degree in design or a related discipline -Excellent documentation skills
