Overview

Oversee precast concrete production and installation, managing staff, contracts, and client relations.

Tasks

-Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Manage contract administration (subcontractor/field management meeting for communication) -Recommend, where appropriate, organizational, policy, and procedural or staff changes -Oversee and approve the monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections -Develop a program to maintain good client relations involving staff on-site -Review, approve, and negotiate change orders -Review and approve or reject promotions up to General Foremen -Maintain daily diary for record-keeping purposes -Initiate and attend supplementary and regular meetings with clients for problem resolution and planning -Review and approve the balance of Foremen, journeymen, and laborer’s composite labor rates -Mentor and help to grow fellow Kiewit staff -Ensure that all performance evaluations are completed in a timely fashion for direct reports

What You Bring

-Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision -Ability to access all areas on a construction project site -Regular, reliable attendance -8+ years of construction experience with 2+ years in a Superintendent/Leadership capacity (preferably working on infrastructure projects such as bridges, dams, water/wastewater treatment plants, etc.) -Ability to quickly learn and understand various processes regarding Kiewit’s policies, procedures, and software programs -Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills -Ability to identify and resolve any problems that may arise -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration
