Overview

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility electrical & mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Run conduit and pull wiring to machinery, motors, and operating parts throughout facility systems -Install and rebuild pumps, motors, air compressors, and heat exchangers while replacing bearings in all motor types -Analyze operation of various systems, determine causes of problems/malfunctions, and implement corrective action as required -Replace seals on pumps and install/repair piping, valves, filters, hot water systems, and associated controls -Monitor operation, repair, and maintain refrigeration, water cooling, air conditioning equipment, boilers, and ventilation systems -Assist with maintenance, monitoring, and preventive maintenance on electrical, refrigeration, heat exchanger, HVAC, emergency backup, and hot water systems -Install, repair, and maintain electrical controls, switching, and motor control systems -Install and repair plumbing/piping/tubing while wiring single and three-phase motors (single and two speed)

What You Bring

-Knowledge of emergency backup systems and hot water system operations -High School diploma or GED -State Electrical License required -Valid Driver's License for transportation to various facility locations -Background in commercial or industrial electrical system maintenance -Flexibility and willingness to work varying shifts as operational needs require -Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC -Ability to comply with departmental policy for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials -Experience assisting with major repairs and maintenance of building equipment -Experience with facility equipment maintenance and troubleshooting across multiple systems -Understanding of proper equipment operation recording and reporting procedures -Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel
