The Role

Overview

Assist crew with concrete forming tasks, handling forms, pouring, finishing, and cleanup.

Tasks

-Follow all company health and safety requirements -Load or unload construction materials -Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete -Installing anchor bolts, steel plates and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete -Work as a team member and communicate respectfully with coworkers -Operate and care for construction equipment -Perform site clean-up -Assist Foreman whenever needed -Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth, and align them -Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards -Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float -Check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed -Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, joiners, and straightedge
