Millwork Assistant Project Manager

Description

• Responsible for selecting materials including hardwoods, plywood, and metal. Must have basic knowledge of core materials, and differences in hardwood, plywood, and metals.
• Participate and hold internal and external project meetings
• Manage project timelines and schedules to ensure completion of all assigned projects
• Complete all paperwork and updates for the project management team in a timely manner
• Coordinate and lead internal pre-install meetings and post-install meetings
• Coordinate project needs with internal craftsmen, external vendors, on-site GC, and other trades
• Conduct on-site visits to check site conditions and critical dimensions
• Recording, submitting, and rectifying punch times
• Conduct site visits, quality control, and oversee all installs
• Track production timeline and shipping dates of the product; coordinate and monitor large direct-to-site deliveries
• Prepare and detail out installation packets and coordinate installation teams' needs.

Requirements

• Must be able to effectively provide detailed communication by using a variety of tools i.e., emails, texting, phone calls, in-person meetings
• Project Management Professional Certification (Preferred)
• Ability to travel and work on job sites for extended periods of time.
• Management and Coaching Experience (2+ years)
• Working knowledge of woodshop terms
• Laser-focused on details
• Gantt chart knowledge a plus
• Knowledge of Illustrator, Solid Works, Rhino, Sketchup, or other design programs preferred.
• Basic Fine Woodworking skills, installation of architectural millwork a plus
• Demonstrate leadership skills
• Excellent people skills, 1+ years of client management experience required
• Ability to schedule employees' workflow, manage budgets, and complete project documentation.
• Thorough understanding of the project’s scope of work and ability to provide labor and lead time estimates
• Computer knowledge required
• Excellent knowledge of Google Sheets and Drive Documents
• Able to read shop drawings and interpret them
• Expert communication with various personnel groups
• Must be able to set clear deadlines, and expectations, and follow up with clients and team members.
• Project Management Experience: 1-3 years (Required)
• Installation and Fabrication Experience: 2-5 years
• Above-average critical thinking skills
• Effective in a team working environment
• Is at least 25 years old, and has a clean Colorado driving record (eligible to drive box truck for delivery and pick-up duties.)
