Field Service Engineer

Overview

Install, commission and maintain power generators on customer sites, including offshore work.

Tasks

-Deliver generator applications - Motor starting and variable voltage -Commission and decommissioning of power products on customer site -Deliver no break sync applications - grid lock -Service and maintain Diesel driven Generators to a high standard -Installation of power products on customer site -Attend equipment breakdowns -Telemetry installation in field -Carry out load testing using sigma PC software -Commission of power products on customer site

What You Bring

-Must hold a full, clean and valid driving licence -Good level of PC literacy including basic MS Office applications -Fit data loggers & power analyses -Be able to operate fleet load bank -Well organised and capable of keeping vehicle to GSCS standards -Experience of Generator controls, Deepsea, Dief etc. -A City and Guilds/ONC level 3 qualification or equivalent (Mechanical and or Electrical) -Able to manage a client’s expectations when under pressure, regardless of the situation -Technical capability (power and ideally temperature control) -Must be able to work out of hours as and when required, and be part of the on-call rota -Good organisational & communication skills
