Service Project Manager

Lead engineering team to deliver transformer service projects safely, on time and within budget.

Tasks

-Focus on providing the best possible customer service and help to identify new business opportunities -You’ll be managing multiple projects from start to finish simultaneously -Work alongside the Sales Manager and Tendering Team to assist in the growth of the business -Plan, direct, co-ordinate and control every aspect – from costings, procurement and budget control to technical aspects, the allocation of resources and supply chain management – in line with design requirements -Manage aspects of project delivery, including site reporting, and will maintain a key strategic role with responsibility for commercial, financial, contractual and QHSE implications -Cultivate open and transparent relationships both externally and internally and use your solution-driven mindset to achieve clarity of expectation, mitigate challenges and provide a seamless experience to customers -Develop, monitor and review progress to ensure all work remains on schedule and within cost and quality estimates. But you’ll also operate as part of a team, leading the way to deliver highly successful outcomes

What You Bring

-You work well using your own initiative and are happy to operate with minimal supervision, but you’re also very much a team player -You have a background in project engineering with 5-10 years of experience within our sector -You’re commercially and financially astute and have experience of project planning tools -You’re proficient at running multiple projects simultaneously and of working at pace with meticulous attention to detail -You’re an exceptional communicator who’s effective at translating technical detail into relatable and relevant content and confident enough to liaise with customers and colleagues at all levels -You’re extremely well organised with exceptional planning and prioritising skills -You’re able to work to tight deadlines and proficient at overcoming challenges with a clear solution strategy -You’ll also have proven experience of managing high-value projects, including accountability for every aspect and for driving all activities -You also have knowledge of contractual obligations, SLAs, quality and HSE as well as supply chain management and resource planning
