Assist PM in mechanical construction projects, managing schedule, budget, and coordination.

Tasks

-Maintain regular communication and collaboration with Project Managers; -Monitor project budgets and labor costs, alerting the Project Manager to any concerns; -Prepare and manage communications internally with the construction team and support functions as well as with general contractors or construction managers for assigned projects; -Develop competencies with reviewing drawings and specifications to assist with preparing project schedules, change orders, building and environmental controls; -Prepare, maintain and present computer-generated logs and reports; -Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure a complete scope of work is defined; -Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established. -The Assistant Project Manager will assist the Project Manager with ensuring projects meet quality requirements and are progressing and completed on time, within budget, and with defined resources;

What You Bring

-Must work with minimal supervision. -Must understand Commercial & Industrial construction sequences and Testing procedures for HVAC systems and ASHRAE data & guidelines. LEED certification a plus; -Proficiency using Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Project, Access, & Powerpoint). Project Management & Accounting Software experience preferred; -Must effectively manage time and details. -Must have 3-5 years Construction Project Engineering experience or similar experience, preferably working for a Mechanical Contractor; -Must prioritize in a fast-paced multi-task environment. -Needs to be able to demonstrate experience in project scheduling, productivity analysis, project cost control accounting equipment and material procurement. Must have a working knowledge of HVAC & Process/Plumbing Systems; -Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering OR a minimum of 6 years combined experience in Field Installation and Project Management in the Mechanical Industry; -Must interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. -Frequent travel to assigned construction project sites in the greater Tempe/Phoenix area -Must have demonstrated ability to perform basic business mathematical functions. -Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills. -Must have demonstrated knowledge and work experience showing the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily;
