The Role
Overview
Lead bridge design projects, manage teams, ensure compliance, and oversee client relations.

Tasks
-Monitor and manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely delivery and cost control. -Perform independent, engineering calculations for bridge structures and create accurate construction plans and estimates. -Ensure all design work adheres to client and corporate quality control procedures throughout the project life cycle. -Support bridge design efforts, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with regulations and standards, such as AASHTO, NJDOT, and PennDOT design manuals. -Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to prepare technical reports, detailed construction drawings, and specifications for bridge projects. -Plan, develop, and manage bridge engineering projects for clients, including DOT, county, and other transportation agencies. -Review and provide feedback on the work of engineers, CAD drafters, and other technical staff to ensure accuracy and quality. -Assist in new business development, including attendance at industry events and participation in project proposal presentations. -Interact with clients and oversee the work of subconsultants, ensuring the project meets the agreed-upon goals and specifications.

What You Bring
-NBIS Certification is preferred but not required -Knowledge of modern bridge construction techniques, materials, and specifications. -Experience on major DOT projects (NJDOT, PennDOT, NJTA, PANYNJ) with a focus on bridge design. -PE License Preferred -Extensive experience in bridge design and engineering, including the application of AASHTO, NJDOT, and PennDOT standards. -Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and Project for tracking project data. -Strong knowledge of bridge design manuals, procedures, and relevant engineering software. -Maintain strong technical knowledge of bridge design techniques, procedures, materials, and relevant engineering software. -Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and bridge-specific tools like LEAP Bridge and STAAD. -Strong understanding of DEP, stormwater, and environmental regulations that impact bridge projects. -EIT License Required -Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex engineering concepts to clients and internal teams. -Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university -Proven experience managing complex bridge engineering projects from design through construction. -Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide leadership in technical project delivery.
