Senior glazier oversees residential/commercial glass projects, leads team, ensures safety.

Tasks
-Perform precision glass cutting, sanding, and finishing with attention to detail. -Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, and safety harnesses as needed. -Supervise, train, and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and feedback to improve their skills and performance. -Work will be performed on residential and commercial job sites. -Measure and cut glass to size and shape for custom and standard applications. -Coordinate schedules for both residential and commercial projects, ensuring timely completion of work. -Work with management to maintain an inventory of supplies and materials, ensuring adequate stock levels for upcoming projects. -Recommend and implement effective solutions to ensure optimal performance and durability of glazing systems. -Assess and troubleshoot complex glazing issues, such as structural integrity, design flaws, or weather-related damage. -Install both framed and unframed glass and mirrors, ensuring proper sealing, alignment, and finishing. -Install, replace, and repair glass for windows, doors, mirrors, skylights, storefronts, and other commercial or residential structures. -Oversee the proper handling, transportation, and storage of glass materials to prevent damage and ensure efficiency. -Properly dispose of broken glass and other materials in accordance with safety protocols. -Inspect materials upon delivery to ensure quality and accuracy of orders. -Ensure that all glass installations and repairs comply with local building codes and safety standards. -Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to glazing, materials, or installation processes. -Develop Continuous Improvement Initiatives to increase productivity within the team and decrease time spent on specified tasks and duties. -Lead and manage a team of junior glaziers and apprentices, ensuring efficient workflow and safety protocols. -Address any customer concerns or questions, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. -Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while handling glass and operating tools. -Provide accurate and timely estimates for glass installation, repair, or replacement services. -Communicate effectively with clients to understand their glass needs and provide expert recommendations.

What You Bring
-Strong understanding of safety protocols and building codes. -In-depth knowledge of glazing tools, materials, and installation techniques. -Advanced skills in measuring, cutting, and installing various types of glass (e.g., tempered, laminated, insulated, low-e, etc.). -Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities. -Experience with mobile application relevant to your job responsibilities or being comfortable using mobile technology to record and report work related functions. -Must be able to work in a variety of environments, including construction zones, and follow all safety protocols. -Proven experience leading or supervising a team in the field of glazing services. -Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude while working on job sites and interacting with clients. -Comfortable working at heights and on ladders or scaffolding. -Proficient in the use of power tools, hand tools, and other glazing equipment. -Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices (preferred). -At least 5-7 years of professional experience as a glazier, with a strong background in both residential and commercial glazing. -Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with clients, contractors, and team members. -Outdoor and indoor work, in various weather conditions. -Certification in glazing (e.g., National Glass Association certification) is a plus. -Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods. -Completion of a formal apprenticeship or training program in glazing is preferred. -High school diploma or equivalent required. -Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 75 lbs) as needed.
