Real Estate Accountant

Overview

Manages project finances, budgets, variances, invoicing and reporting.

Tasks

-Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders. -Liaison between Corporate Finance and other internal departments that have various project related financial needs. -Maintain project accounts and tags in the accounting system. -Review and pay supplier invoices related to a project. -Compile information for internal and external auditors as required. -Maintain budget and financial reporting records for projects. Report to management regarding the remaining budget available for projects. -Close out project accounts upon completion. -Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management. -Review account totals related to project assets, liabilities, and expenses.

What You Bring

-Must be a problem-solving skills, and strong quantitative and analytical competency -Must have advanced knowledge of Excel -Must be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication -Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics or relevant work experience preferred. -Must have proven work experience in a quantitatively-heavy role -3-5 years of Business Finance or other relevant experience.
