Overview
Prepare mechanical/plumbing cost estimates and support preconstruction activities.

Tasks
-Presents estimates to clients with support as needed. -Reads and outlines project specifications. -Leads constructability reviews; coordinates with QA/QC and analyzes documents for potential challenges. -Maintains an audit trail of the quantity survey from estimate to estimate. -Develops sequencing requirements of various systems and providing solutions to meet the schedule requirements. -Supports the distribution of plans and specifications to vendors/subcontractors. -Develop mechanical bidder’s list to project requirements. -Supports vendor/subcontractor pricing/bid solicitation and coordination. -Assists with site logistics reviews including the development of temporary cooling / heating plans. -Performs quantity survey of Mechanical/Plumbing materials shown on project plans. -Prepares complete mechanical/plumbing cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals with manager review. -Works collaboratively and creates relationships with a variety of stakeholders, such as project team members, subcontractors, vendors and clients. -Complete and review of mechanical options as part of the preconstruction process and completes systems analysis for select projects. -Manages estimate revisions in order to maintain preconstruction schedule and advance project to next design phase. -Develops scopes of work for mechanical/plumbing trades and receives and analyzes subcontractor/vendor proposals. Provides coordination input and willingly shares subject matter expertise in order to advance team development. -Assists in the completion of bid analysis and provides input during the subcontractor selection process. -Prepares and analyzes vendor quotes for estimate integration or detailed buyout analysis.

What You Bring
-Proficiency in MS Office. -Knowledge of the means and methods of construction management. -Occasional activity: Standing, Walking, Bending, Climbing, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling -Autonomy and Decision Making: Makes decisions on routine matters, provides recommendations to supervisor and refers all exceptions to supervisor -Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications. -Proficiency in required construction technology. -May require periods of overnight travel -Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work. -Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs -Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner. -3+ years construction experience -Frequent activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen -Proficiency in construction estimating software, inlcuding Building Connected, Accubid, Fast Duct, and Fast Pipe software or equivalent software. -Ability to prepare quantity surveys. -Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally. -Knowledge of Lean process and philosophy. -Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field -In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered. -Thorough understanding of different mechanical/plumbing systems and ability to evaluate value engineering options with designers and owners. -Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds -Communication skills, verbal and written.
