The Role

Overview

Manage new elevator installations and modernizations, overseeing staff, safety, and budgets.

Tasks

-Mediate and resolve complaints and problems of external and internal customers, including meeting with local business agents to resolve issues involving union employees. -Make weekly crew visits and day one visits to manage safety, site activities, and progress of employees and customer, document findings. -Develop and maintain strong working relationships with owner, contractors, elevator consultants, and architects. -Determine what materials need to be ordered for job completion, and coordinate and arrange for sub-contracting portions of installations. -Use accounting reports and program to review job status to identify risk and opportunity, including properly reporting fade issues prior to revenue. -Maintain strong familiarity of company standard operating procedures and products by attending company training classes and reviewing factory equipment updates and supplier goods; interface with corporate departments, including the factory, coordination, and labor, and consults with management. -Support modernization efforts in addition to new installation. -Plan, direct, and prioritize elevator installations and manpower needs; utilize project management software and other scheduling tools. -Manage subcontractor schedule and performance on turn-key projects. -Supervise all construction and modernization field employees by providing direction and training and communicating. -Identify, review, and sign off on change orders, purchase orders, elevator turnover authorizations, accounts receivable, write-offs, credits, and other necessary approvals. -Administer company policies, procedures, and objectives. -Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all federal, state, and local elevator industry code requirements. -Administer company safety program, including performing safety audits when necessary and stressing the importance of safety to all employees.

-Problem Analysis -Education: Bachelor’s in related -Requires a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report. -Experience: Minimum 2 years in related -Prolonged periods of standing and walking. -Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -Technical Professional Knowledge -Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. -Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. -Local Travel Expectations: 25%
