Tasks

-Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, etc. -Create positive relationships with customers; answering questions; and offering relevant information -Perform defined warehouse activities specific to the receipt, placement into inventory, selection for shipment, and shipment of stock -Controls the flow of material in and out of the warehouse -Participate in ongoing general housekeeping of warehouse -Assist Manager with daily tasks and projects as assigned -Pick/pack orders accurately and promptly -Ensure adequate staffing levels daily -Drive and deliver product to various customer locations, if necessary -Accurately identify and count inventory in assigned areas -Check assigned equipment for proper operation/functionality and communicate problems to Supervisor/Manager -Check accuracy of Warehouse Associates work -Participate in safety initiatives as assigned -Coordinate with territory Owner-Associates on daily routing requirements -Verify back-orders and adjust inventory as needed -Assist Warehouse Associates with work process questions and problems -Sell company products and services to customers visiting or calling into the branch by gathering information about their needs, providing technical assistance when required, quoting, soliciting orders, and suggesting additional products -Monitor truck loading and unloading according to established procedures -Attend meetings and training sessions -Receive/restock inventory accurately and promptly in designated storage areas or stock shelves -Maintain quality and quantity performance and production standards -Processes appropriate queues inside the Kendall business system -Facilitate preventative maintenance and repairs on vehicles -Follow safe work habits and established safety procedures

What You Bring

-Work Experience: 2 years’ prior delivery or warehouse experience -Ability to be on your feet for 8 hours a day -Licenses/Certifications: If required to drive, the below licenses will need to be obtained upon hire: -Analytics/Computer Skills: Ability to use standard office equipment, including but not limited to computerized bar code scanner, printer, and standard warehouse equipment/tools; basic math and reasoning skills -Must be able to pass a DOT Medical Exam and obtain a 1- Year Card (Paid for by The Kendall Group) -Ability to see/sit/stand/walk/talk and hear -Organization Skills: Excellent work ethic, good verbal, and communication skills; ability to work independently -Driver’s License with Chauffeur’s endorsement and clean driving record -Communication Skills: Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization; know when to request assistance when appropriate, especially when lifting heavy objects -Work Experience: Industrial wholesale distribution; Local delivery driving -Safety Conscious -Frequent sitting, driving, and getting in and out of a vehicle -Ability to lift/move/carry up to 50lbs -Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
