Conduct land surveys and staking for civil projects in Great Falls, MT.

Tasks

Interpret and apply zoning laws, subdivision regulations, and property records to determine land boundaries. Perform fieldwork using GPS, robotic total stations, and other survey equipment to collect and analyze data accurately. Collaborate with engineers, architects, developers, and government agencies to support land development, infrastructure, and construction projects. Prepare and review survey maps, legal descriptions, plats, and reports ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct boundary, cadastral, hydraulic, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys/staking for public and private projects. Process survey data using Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D. Review and verify survey calculations, data analysis, and mapping accuracy.

What You Bring

3+ years of experience as a licensed PLS preferred. Have a valid drivers license and insurable driving record. Proven ability to multitask and manage project workload, deadlines, and clients effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Experience with technical software such as AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, Carlson Survey and Civil 3D etc. Licensed Professional Land surveyor in Montana (PLS). Associate’s degree in surveying or equivalent from an accredited post-secondary institution is preferred. Excellent organization and written/verbal communication skills. TD&H Engineering is seeking a full-time Professional Land Surveyor to join our team in Great Falls, MT. This role focuses on land surveying for civil engineering projects, including boundary, cadastral, topographic, and construction staking surveys. The candidate will work under the guidance of experienced project managers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to contribute to a growing team while working outdoors in various weather conditions.
