Legal Counsel - Development

Overview

Provide strategic legal advice across all phases of property development projects.

Tasks

-Partnering with internal and external stakeholders, to provide proactive, strategic and quality legal advice across the full lifecycle of a project: from due diligence on new opportunities, project conversion (including acquisition, debt and capital structuring, establishing governance processes and D&C establishment) and delivery (including planning, administering of D&C contracts, retail and commercial leasing, subdivision, sales and conveyancing and dispute management). -Advising on regulatory compliance and contributing to legal risk management and governance initiatives across the business. -Managing external legal counsel, including legal budgets and spend. -Drafting, reviewing and negotiating of a broad range of complex legal documentation including development agreements, PDA’s, joint venture documentation, consultancy agreements, sale contracts, D&C contracts, consultant agreements and leasing documentation.
