Tasks
The Estimator will take ownership of all estimating and pre-construction activities, from preparing accurate and competitive tenders, and working directly with the Managing driven communication, ensuring bids are delivered with value, professionalism, and tender enquiry through to submission. This includes identifying new project opportunities, and painting & decorating, with projects spanning schools, hospitals, offices, and -Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for internal fit-out and refurbishment projects. -Collaborate with internal teams to prepare supporting materials such as case studies, risk assessments, and credentials. -Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to produce precise take-offs and pricing. -Attend face-to-face meetings, networking events, and industry functions. -Support the Managing Director in developing and refining pre-construction and business development strategies. -Track and reconnect with former contacts who have moved within the industry. -Identify opportunities that align with the company’s specialist services and -Build strong relationships with decision-makers across key target companies. -Re-engage with previous clients and contacts to explore repeat opportunities. -Tailor each submission to include project-specific insights, value engineering, and innovative delivery solutions. -Ensure all tender content is clear, accurate, and client-focused. -Use Causeway 1 Estimating Software to produce professional tenders and cost plans.

What You Bring
This role combines strong commercial and technical understanding with relationship- workmanship. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a proactive Estimator to join our Our expertise covers drylining and ceilings, fire stopping, door installations, skirtings, strong reputation for delivering high-quality internal fit-out and refurbishment projects. -Experience delivering projects in schools, hospitals, offices, and commercial refurbishments. -Detail-oriented, organised, and commercially aware. -Exposure to varied, high-quality projects across London and the South East. -Strong knowledge of drylining, ceilings, fire stopping, joinery, and finishing trades. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust quickly. -Proficiency in Causeway 1 Estimating Software (essential). -Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a small, collaborative team. -Sound understanding of pre-construction processes, estimating, and cost planning. -Proven experience as an Estimator within the internal fit-out or refurbishment sector. -Experience producing tenders that include value engineering or innovative project delivery strategies. -Familiarity with client pre-qualification systems and supply chain platforms. -Existing network of industry contacts and client relationships.
