Junior Engineer - Industrial Mechanics and Piping

Overview

Assist in mechanical design studies & detailed engineering for mining, energy projects.

Tasks

-Perform design calculations and ensure plans meet guidelines, code requirements and other regulations -Assign tasks to less experienced engineers, technicians and support staff and review their work -Help draft technical reports -Make technical choices on designs to be established, provide recommendations and make important decisions on highly technical or complex issues -Ensure work complies with budgets, estimates, procedures and schedules -Coordinate the work of designers and other team members -Assist with design project studies and detailed engineering assignments -Help design plans and specifications -Help draft proposals -Participate in site surveys -Identify business needs

What You Bring

-From 0 to 3 years of experience as a mechanical engineer -Advanced level of French to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in Québec. -Independent and adaptable -Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects -Valid driver’s licence -Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec -University degree in mechanical engineering -Asset: experience in the mining sector -Asset: ASP Construction card
