Tasks

-Guide, train and develop new hires in Quality Lab for all aspects of the position including work center tasks and Quality tools -Provide direct support to the production floor by assisting with interpretation/development of manufacturing related documentation and providing or teaching proper measuring techniques -Work to establish closed loop cause and corrective action in reaction to customer complaints and internal process failures -Audit internal processes including dimensional workmanship and documentation verification -Suggest and complete Continuous Improvement Projects -Release product for shipping by ensuring proper documentation/certifications are provided as outlined by customer requirements -Provide on-the-job training for new quality inspectors with daily responsibilities -Program and run CMM's using PC-DMIS software -Support management through implementing and communicating ideas, projects, practices, and decision outcomes to the Quality team -Administer employee development training for the QA department ? Lead or participate in Quality Walk Audits in Work Center Areas -Provide technical inspection of manufactured and raw materials at “receiving” as outlined by the process -identify and implement continuous improvement process and project improvements -Collect data, evaluate, and present quality metrics

What You Bring

-Proficient in programming CMM's using PC-DMIS software ? Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees -Program and operate FARO & Micro-Vu measurement equipment proficiently -Understand and apply basic GD&T concepts ? Proficient in dimensional verification of PPAP and first article parts -PC-DMIS Training -Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs -5+ years working preferably in a metal fabrication environment under a continuous improvement QMS with hands on inspection or an equivalent combination of education and experience -Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals -Work quickly, efficiently, and without quality issues -Associate degree in related field preferred -Trained and efficient in all aspects of the position -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. -Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints / engineering drawings
