Software System Test Engineer

Test and validate software systems, create test plans, automate tests, and report defects.

Tasks

-Validate fixes and ensure corrections are effective and do not introduce new issues -Analyze test results to report defects or issues -Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to ensure system testing reflects end-user needs -Develop comprehensive system test plans to ensure software meets design and functional requirements -Work with software development teams to reproduce and debug issues found during testing -Provide feedback and recommendations to improve product design, functionality, and usability based on test outcomes -Execute system and software test cases (manual and automated) -Create and maintain automated test scripts to streamline testing -Stay current with new testing tools and test strategies -Assess system and software performance and behavior under various conditions, including real-world conditions -Document testing phases and defects to improve future test planning -Facilitate and participate in meetings to discuss test plans and results with stakeholders

-Creativity and curiosity in finding software and system flaws -Desktop and web application testing experience -Excellent communication skills to clearly explain difficult technical issues -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills working with complicated data sets -Interest in civil/military flight operations and aeronautical data (Desired) -Experience with testing tools such as WinAppDriver and Playwright -Proficiency with Application Lifecycle Management tools such as Azure DevSecOps and Jira -Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and DevSecOps practices
