Tasks

-Administrative Support: Manage permits, inspection reports, qualification tracking, safety boards, and documentation related to compliance and enforcement. -Joint Health & Safety Committee: Set up and lead meetings, coordinate inspections, investigate work refusals, and collaborate with the Ministry of Labour when needed. -Training & Awareness: Deliver site-specific orientations, toolbox talks, and safety briefings to ensure all trades and workers understand safe work practices. -Incident & Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency and evacuation plans, provide first aid, investigate incidents, and recommend preventive measures. -Site Inspections: Conduct regular workplace inspections, ensure corrective actions are followed through, monitor air quality, and help secure the site daily.

What You Bring

-Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry -Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills -Degree or certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or related field -Strong knowledge of construction safety legislation and best practices -Calm under pressure and capable of influencing safe behavior -Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle -CPR/First Aid Certification -Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) -Must hold an NCSO designation or demonstrate equivalent safety certification and experience
