Tasks

-May be required to work after hours; on weekends or be on-call as work is needed. -Oversee all external vendors and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and according to customer standards. -Develop strong relationships with customers, team members, and stakeholders to support project success and customer satisfaction. -Partner closely with Fiber Engineers, Field Operations, and Project Management teams to ensure the successful planning and execution of projects. -Negotiate vendor costs, monitor budget performance, and escalate any issues that may impact timelines or financials. -Employees performing these job functions may be required to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds in a shift. Employees are required to evaluate the size, weight and circumstance of any item or load before lifting or moving anything greater than 50 pounds -Manage the development and submittal of permitting and construction plans, coordinating with local and state agencies on licensing and approvals. -Maintain accurate project records and updates in project tracking systems, providing regular status reports to leadership and clients. -Duties outlined in this position will require the employee to stand, crouch, sit, bend, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel as well as reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low. -Ensure compliance with all safety programs, leading by example and holding teams accountable for maintaining safe work practices. -Conduct constructability reviews and develop construction bid packages; competitively bid work to qualified subcontractors. -Order, track, and manage third-party materials and resources required for construction. -Report directly to the Director with frequent updates on progress, risks, and milestones. -Proactively resolve on-site issues and recommend solutions to keep projects on track. -Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and excellence across the project team. -Lead site construction efforts, maintaining schedules and quality standards while acting as a safety and quality representative on site.

What You Bring

-Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening. -Ability to make common sense understanding to carry out instructions that are provided in written, oral or drawing. Ability to deal with and understand problems involving different variables in many varied situations. Ability to collect, organize, disseminate and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. -To be 18 years of age or older -Familiarity with state, county, and city permitting requirements, including State DOT regulations. -Must have general computer knowledg -Proven ability to manage multiple teams, resolve field issues, and deliver projects on time and within budget. -Ability to read, understand and interpret documents such as safety rules and requirements, machine manuals of operation and process procedures. Ability to write information including reports. Ability to speak effectively to customers, vendors and coworkers up through all levels of management and staff. Ability to speak effectively and clearly with the public and external customers. -Ability to interpret written, verbal, or diagram instructions and solve practical problems with real-world variables. -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or 3-5 years of OSP Engineering Management experience. -Strong math skills, including geometry, algebra, percentages, and basic financial concepts. -Highly organized, results-driven, and capable of working under pressure. -Working knowledge of NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards. -Proficient with general computer applications and project management tools. -Authorization to work in the United States for this company -Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position. -Ability to calculate figures and amounts (measurements in terms of distance, proportions, percentages and area. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics including algebra and geometry. -Familiarity with telecom test equipment and methods, including OTDR, RF Sweep, Power Meter, PIM testing, Grounding and Bonding. -Strong decision-making, teamwork, and relationship-building skills. -3–5 years of underground utility or telecom construction experience, including managing teams in fast-paced, production-driven environments. -Strong working knowledge of outside plant (OSP) fiber engineering standards, aerial and underground construction methods, and relevant industry regulations. -Must possess excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers. -Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) -Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and maintain accountability. -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus -Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present effectively in small group settings and customer-facing situations. -Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed. -Must possess a valid driver’s license. -Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar CAD drafting software.
