Senior Contracts Engineer

Overview

Prepare, negotiate and manage contracts and related risk for Petrofac projects.

Tasks

-Maintain adherence to strong contracting processes and procedures while working. -Manage the review and negotiation process and coordinate with all team members as required -Review and negotiate confidentiality agreements. -Develop and negotiate MOU’s and Collaboration Agreements with key partners to support business growth. -Advising the team on matters of contractual interpretation, identification of and management of key contractual risks in support in the resolution of contractual claims and disputes. -Support the subcontracts team in ensuring that risk is appropriately flowed down to the relevant subcontracts on a back-to-back basis. -Gain a full understanding of company procedures and processes and follow these principles in all aspects of the role. -Work with the commercial and operational management team to ensure that service delivery is compliant with contractual terms. -Coordinate input and work with all Petrofac stakeholders including Compliance, Legal, Finance, Insurance, Tax, Security etc. -Promote consistency of approach and the adoption of best practice throughout all regions. -Prepare contractual responses to ITT’s and proposal requests from Clients: -Ensure the contractual position is approved in line with Petrofac’s Risk Review process and work with the commercial team to ensure all required approvals are obtained taking into account the scope in question -Work with the technical team to develop and align contractual responses taking into account the scope of work. -Review and qualify clients T&C’s in line with Petrofac procedures and best practice. -Coordinate and manage the contract review process -Maintain approval records and close out actions.

What You Bring

-Experience working within an active and lively operational team. -Experience in a similar role preferred. -Legal degree or similar equivalent -Excellent organisation skills. -Strong experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating terms and conditions. -Strong review and negotiation skills. -Knowledge and experience of LOGIC and in general key contracting principles. -Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. -Self-starter with the ability to work under own initiative and meet tight deadlines. -Ability to work independently and have excellent communication, listening and presentation skills.
