Tasks

-Visit project sites locally and throughout Indiana and other Midwest locations to perform bridge and small structure inspections, verify existing conditions during design, provide construction support engineering, and meet with clients -Coordinate with other disciplines within the transportation department, including but not limited to survey, roadway, utility coordination, drainage, planning, and environmental. -Perform bridge, small structure, and other types of inspections and complete any associated reports and load ratings. -Perform hand and software-supported bridge analysis and design computations.

What You Bring

-Engineer-In-Training (EIT) -Highly organized and detail-oriented -Civil Professional Engineer (PE) license in any state -3 or more years of experience in bridge inspection -A valid driver's license is required -Strong time management skills -Qualified Team Leader – Bridge Inspector’s Reference Manual (FHWA NHI 12-049) Section 1.2.3 -Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills -Capable of meeting with clients in person -Bachelor of Science (BS) degree -Bridge Inspection Team Leader Certification in any state, Indiana preferred.
