Overview

Manage water/wastewater construction projects, overseeing contracts, budgets, and schedules.

Tasks

-Manages and processes the review and approval for consultant invoices and contractor pay applications and change orders. May assist with the project billings and collections. -Lead project meetings with contractors and stakeholders to ensure overall success of the project. Build cooperative/collaborative efforts in resolving complex construction related issues, disputes, and disagreements and ensure a timely resolution of issues. Capable of implementing a process for monitoring and reviewing communication and decision-making across the project. -Track RFI’s and develop proposed responses with design team and attend bid and district meetings. -Maintains reports, documents, and records using project and electronic software. -Manages budgets, scope development, documents, procedures and controls for assigned projects. -Review, monitors, and facilitate resolution of project variances with the construction project plans and site conditions and acts to remediate as needed.

What You Bring

-Minimum 10 years’ experience in Water/Wastewater projects. -Ability to manage multiple projects of varying size as assigned. -Strong written and verbal communication skills to work with multiple groups and ability to clarify client objectives and effectively relay information to all contractors. -Strong knowledge of contracts, schedules, drawings with responsibility for the enforcement of contract documents including plans and specifications for projects including Lift Stations and Pump Stations. -Adherence to safety and environmental policies. -Able to read engineering drawings, understand contracts, assess construction sites for compliance plus experience in accounting and cost control. -Bachelor’s degree in construction management plus recognized industry certification of a CCM OR bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and TX PE. -Demonstrates effective risk management and mitigation practices through proper risk identification and assessment of personnel, materials, equipment or geographical location along with earned value tracking and communication.
