The Role

Overview

Provide technical support, analysis and repair solutions for wind turbine tower and structure issues.

Tasks

-Creation of repair and inspection instructions for mechanical component assemblies (e.g. HUB and nacelle metallic structure frame components) -Identification and reporting of potential serial issues -Improvement of internal standards and processes and ensuring the permanent transfer of knowledge between the relevant departments and locations -Supervision and supporting of external service partners such as universities or specialized engineering service providers, clients, and suppliers. -Assignment of tasks along the technical support process -Supporting the local business units in the development of sustainable solutions regarding mechanical problems relating to the wind turbine Towers and Structures with distinctive technical expertise -Being a focal point of contact for technical issues between the local business units on the one hand and the central business units on the other -Initiation and coordination of root cause analyses and supporting the Nordex engineering department in the development of corrective actions -Collecting information about the performance of mechanical components of the wind turbines -Definition, implementation and obtaining of service processes for mechanical assemblies (e.g. processes for inspections, repairs, on-site complaints, customer reports) -Evaluation of the risk potential, budgeting and scheduling of necessary activities related to major non-conformities.

What You Bring

-Many years of experience working in a multi-cultural environment -Degree in mechanical engineering -International standards knowledge for welding and corrosion protection (ISO 15610, ISO 12944, ISO 14713, ISO 1461 and ISO1442). -Knowledge of working with Teamcenter PLM, Windchill PLM, SAP, AUTOCAD, CREO, Siemens NX, 8D reports -Ability and willingness to travel 10% -Non-Destructive tests (LP/MP/UT/RX) knowledge procedures -Minimum experience should be 8+ in the field of mechanical Towers and Structures (e.g. service, design, and development) -Assertion of claims against suppliers and development of commercial solutions in close cooperation with Nordex Claim Management and Task Force project managers. -Fluent Business English written and spoken -Self-confidence and assertiveness
