Overview
Maintain and repair production equipment, trucks, and machinery.

Tasks
-Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts and complete tasks as assigned. -Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards. -Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition. -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear. -Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation. -Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools. -Install, adjust, and repair production equipment, heavy trucks and special purpose machines as assigned. -Perform general repairs to plant structures. -Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning. -Replace and install parts as needed. -Weld and use cutting torch as required. -Test and troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs and discuss with Head Mechanic for approval and repair as needed.

-The employee must have the capability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and your whole body – bending, crouching, climbing - using steps and ladders, pushing pulling, stooping and reaching. -Mechanical aptitude and ability are essential. -Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step by step instructions. -The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 100lbs from the ground level. -Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, electricity, carpentry or related field preferred. -Technical or vocational school certification or equivalent in training or experience. -The employee will be required to stand for extended periods of time. -Skilled in the use of hand and power tools. -High school diploma/equivalent, or comparable in training, education or experience.
