Overview
Design and manage structural engineering for renewable energy, especially hydropower projects.

Tasks
-Take responsibility for coordinating workload through design development and construction document phases to complete the documents on schedule -Review structural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines -Conduct design development and contract document work sessions at project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines -Independently coordinate the work of the structural design team through the design development and contract document phases of a project -Write and edit structural specifications, select procedures, materials and their respective sizes, and complete necessary calculations -Coordinate and assist with affected disciplines, with any addendum, requests for information, change proposal requests and change orders, and incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents -Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance

What You Bring
-Experience with hydroelectric projects, dams/levees, hydraulic structures, heavy civil, or power and industrial projects. Experience with other water resource facilities will also be considered. -Professional Engineer (PE) license -Previous structural engineer experience -Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering -Local candidates preferred -Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar -Cross disciplinary experience with structural and geotechnical projects, such as dam assessments and inspection, retaining wall design and analysis, post-tensioned anchorage design and analysis, seismic analysis and or similar work is a plus -Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm -Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
