Tasks
-Attend pre-outage planning meetings -Provide quality control and inspection expertise in the area of architectural and structural systems -Tracks and follows up on NCR’s (Non-Compliance Reports) on PWS (Project Work Space) or Unifier -Attend Pre-Construction meeting and regular onsite construction meetings -Prepares reports of inspections on PWS/Unifier -Interface with MDA Sr Inspector and provide support to users and campus operations, architects, engineers, contractors, utilities, regulatory agencies to assist with resolution of conflicts as directed -Maintain and organize on-site project documentation, including inspection and test reports, RFI’s, Architect’s Supplemental Instructions (ASI’s) documents, project change control documents on PWS (Project Workspace) or Unifier -Issue Observation Reports noting conditions of non-compliance, with proper reference to detailed drawings and specifications sections. Project portfolio: 1 project, average value $10M-$50M -Attend early morning, evening, or after-hours installations (ex: concrete pours) requiring owner representation. Flexible hours required for construction observations -Monitor as-builts, punch lists. Review punch lists for above ceiling, open wall and Substantial Completion inspections, and revisit to confirm completion of deficiencies on PWS (Project Workspace) -Stay current in Codes and Regulations applicable to design and construction, including International Building Codes, NFPA 101, TDLR, OSHA, ADA, ASHRAE 90.1, SWPPP and any special requirements of the building type (e.g., healthcare, research labs, special campus project types etc.) -Conduct daily observation of construction work for compliance with approved contract drawings, specifications, Requests for Information (RFI’s), Change Orders, and approved submittals and shop drawings

What You Bring
-Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Sciences or other construction-related field -ICC Certified (by discipline – plumber, electrical) (suggested) -Knowledge of Architectural details, partition ratings, finishes and doors -Three years of project management/construction management experience or ten years of experience in the related construction trade to include one year of supervisory experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis
