Overview

Design and analyze civil engineering projects using CAD and hydraulic tools.

Tasks

-Research and apply codes, specifications and standards for design of the above elements -Use Autodesk (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and Bentley (MicroStation, Power InRoads) software to design and detail sites, roads, drainage systems, utilities as well as site grading and earthworks -Research requirements of regulatory environment for gaining approval at different stages of project delivery -Support development of technical documentation including reports, presentations, memos, calculation packages, and specifications -Engage with project collaborators and clients to develop designs that meets needs and concerns -Use Hydraulic modeling tools such as InfoWorks, Hydraflow, PCSWMM and EPANET to analyze and design stormwater, sanitary and potable water systems -Coordinate with other teams to apply skills in delivering sustainable outcomes

What You Bring

-Sound knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals -Eligible to become a member of the PEO/OIQ/APEGA -Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher -Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering, or relevant engineering degree -Proficient with civil engineering design and analysis tools for roads, rail and/or water systems -Apply understanding of all phases of the planning, design and construction process -Innovative minds: We’re looking for critical thinkers who embrace new ideas and challenge the status quo. -Professional demeanor -Experience with CAD software -Recent and soontobe graduates: Whether you’ve just graduated or are graduating before the role starts, we want to hear from you if your degree is in a relevant field. -Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment -Experience working in Geographic Information System (GIS) based systems such as ArcGIS Pro -Ability to perform in a deadline driven environment -Good interpersonal skills needed for teambased working -Must be eligible to work in Canada without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future -Past internship or extracurricular activity in the field -Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fastpaced environment -Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to address new challenges

Calgary Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Toronto is $70,500 to $72,500 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Toronto will differ.
