Placement student supporting logistics operations and continuous improvement at a UK centre.

Tasks
-Ergonomics projects to improve manual handling processes with the use of lifting equipment. -Review and improve current picking & packing processes for production & aftermarket customers. -Participate in requirements gathering sessions, data analysis and presenting findings to the leadership team. Share best practices with other sites in the Cummins network. -Using Continuous Improvement and Industrial Engineering techniques to measure processes and quantify improvements. -Identifying Continuous Improvement opportunities within the facility and rolling out improvement projects. -Coordinating cross-functional UK Logistics Centre projects with strategic importance to business transitions or processes.

What You Bring
-We are looking for a wide range of applicants studying towards a Business/Supply Chain/Logistics/Planning/Statistics degree. -Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Excel would be beneficial. -Solution orientated with excellent problem-solving skills. -Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to present confidently to a wide range of stakeholders.
