Arboriculture Consultant (including senior applications)

Tasks

-Assisting with the development of new arboricultural specialisms for the company. -Assess and produce veteran tree and woodland management strategies. -Maintaining and building strong working relationships with existing and new clients. -Undertake tree risk surveys and reports. -Prepare quotations for arboricultural services. -Act as technical specialist to support clients and internal teams with pragmatic solutions to complex issues -Undertake arboricultural monitoring and supervision of works on active construction sites. -Co-ordinate and undertake arboricultural surveys and prepare reports and plans in line with BS5837:2012 guidance (from pre-planning feasibility studies to construction stage support and everything in between). -Deliver comprehensive Tree Survey Reports, Tree Constraints Plans, Arboricultural Impact Assessments, Arboricultural Method Statements and Tree Protection Plans.

What You Bring

-A minimum of 2 years professional experience in a similar advisory role, with a proven track record of successful project management and delivery -Sound Knowledge of tree species identification, morphology, management, planning, legislation and best practice. -Protected CPD (Department, individual and company wide) -A good working knowledge and ability to prepare scaled plans within AutoCAD and QGIS. -Able and willing to travel to sites and can autonomously in varied weather conditions. -Professional membership of an arboricultural / forestry industry body (or ability to obtain this). -Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce concise reports to high standards. -Full UK driving licence. -An Arboricultural Qualification to Level 4 or higher with demonstrable professional experience. -Proficient in tree surveying to BS5837:2012 and tree risk assessment with the use of relevant software; eg: Axiscape/ArborCAD, ESRI GIS mapping etc.). -Ability to apply a proportional and pragmatic approach to technical challenges -Sound knowledge of pest and disease diagnostics, control measures and mitigation -Demonstrable experience in writing high quality reports with attention to detail.
