Tasks

-Monitor project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and identify opportunities to optimize project efficiency and profitability. -Ensure that all deliverables meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. -Perform flood risk education and planning, flood infrastructure planning, and design for private and public stormwater infrastructure. -Stream Restoration Planning and Design -Assist in development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules. -Flood Control Planning and Design -Work closely with the other design staff, consultants, and clients to deliver projects that contribute to the growth and safety of Florida communities. -Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize any adverse impacts on project outcomes. -Assist in managing the workload of design staff including other Engineers, EIT’s, and technical staff. -Water Quality Planning and Design -Work under a Water Resources Team Leader in the development of Water Resources design projects for the FDOT, FEMA, Water Management Districts, FDEP, and local municipalities. -Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. -Floodplain Management, Studies and Mapping -Review water resources designs and detailed plans for accuracy and consistency.

What You Bring

-Must be able to travel to various project sites -Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer -Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in flood risk education and planning, flood infrastructure planning, and design for private and public stormwater infrastructure -Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree -Proven business development experience -Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds -Professional Engineering (PE) License or Engineering Intern Certification (EI) in the state of Florida -Requires technical experience and/or familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, water resources planning, and design for private and public stormwater infrastructure -Ability to work in teams and multi-task -Singhofen Halff has conducted formal technical training programs for more than 30 years. -Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas -Robust written and verbal communication skills -Technical experience with ICPR4 (Stormwise) and ArcGIS
