Tasks

Taking off quantities from drawings for measurement purposes and to assist in the preparation of requisitions. You will report directly to the Site Manager and your role will be to lead an existing team of Site/Setting Out Engineers that setting out and quality control services to ensure that the contract works are constructed to the specification in an entirely safe manner, whilst -Taking off quantities from drawings for measurement purposes and to assist in the preparation of requisitions. -Ensure good, honest and open lines of communication are established -Ensure that the works are constructed to a good quality in line with the specification and good working practice. -Assist in maintaining drawing files, drawing register and site filling system. -Assist in the preparation of construction programmes, preparation of Method Statements, Action Plans and Risk Assessments. -Ensure Setting out the works is done to correct standards by yourself & the site team. -Checking site work to ensure compliance with the specification and drawings. -Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with C.D.M. Regulations and compliance with the Company safe working practices. -Liaise with the design department to ensure updated information is always used. -In conjunction with other site staff ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with current legislation, the company health & safety policy, procedures and safe working practices -Assist in the preparation of the construction completion documentation. -Agreement of site measurements and records with the client’s staff as required -Ensure that the required quality records are maintained.

What You Bring

Levelling & Surveying experience (using total stations & automatic levels) Desirable -Experience on water & waste water sites -Levelling & Surveying experience (using total stations & automatic levels) Desirable -First Aid at Work qualification -BTEC National or HNC in Civil Engineering/Construction (minimum) -CSCS Supervision card -EUSR SHEA Water
