Tasks

The Electrical/Controls Engineer II will provide support to our manufacturing operations to ensure the plant is meeting operational and financial goals. This role will be responsible for evaluating current and future needs for the asset management of plant equipment. This position includes performing unplanned, planned, preventative, predictive and corrective electrical maintenance to core process and auxiliary equipment in a continuous process manufacturing plant. Support the electrical infrastructure, electrical safety, energy management, troubleshoot technical electrical issues, capital project development, project implementation and training site maintenance technicians. This position will report directly to the Plant Engineer. -Respond to maintenance issues with equipment and control systems in support of a 24/7 operation. -Work with the maintenance team in troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, control systems, and data acquisition breakdowns. -Modify electrical control circuits and PLC/HMI programs. -Develop and lead plant expense and capital projects as required -Compliance with all safety/environmental standards, and promotion of safe work practices. -Prepares and reviews project technical electrical specifications for equipment and processes. -Prepares and reviews technical electrical specifications for equipment and processes. -Responsible for maintenance and upgrades for site electrical infrastructure and power distribution. -Determine root cause failure analysis and development of corrective action plans -Development of preventive and predictive maintenance procedures. -Ensure designs are implemented with accurate consideration for power management, process data collection systems interfaces, etc. -Assist with design, integration, installation, and support of manufacturing equipment, control systems, and data acquisition systems. This includes new installations and existing equipment/system upgrades. -Partner with Health, Safety, and Environmental team to ensure compliance with standards, practices, and policies for pollution control, installation, modification, quality control, testing, operating procedure, inspection, and maintenance of equipment, according to engineering principles and safety regulations. -Assist facility with manufacturing operations as well as execution of electrical safety initiatives.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. -Ability to lead and perform electrical engineering for all aspects of projects with limited guidance. -Ability to safety lift material weights up to 50 pounds. -Experience in Sieman variable speed drives / European control schemes a plus -Six Sigma, SPC, Lean, 5S, and TPM applications, sponsorship, and team development. -Experience in maintenance, operation, troubleshooting and repair of PLC systems. -Ability to work with extended hours as necessary to complete work assignments. -Ability to visually inspect and troubleshoot electrical/process control systems -Knowledge of Siemens PLCs. -Ability to travel periodically, domestically and internationally. -Proficient in computer applications and analysis of process data. -Practical experience in Allen-Bradley AC variable speed drives. -Demonstrated knowledge in the application of the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace -- arc flash energy and shock hazards. -Demonstrated project management skills. -Demonstrated capabilities in working collaboratively with internal and external engineering resources. -Experience in VMWare. -Ability to be physically mobile throughout the Spunbond Process (stairs, heat, noise) -Ability to multi-task -Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills -Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. -Experience in electrical power distribution, equipment, protection and sizing -Experience in polymer science or textile manufacturing a plus. -Knowledge of Servers and Thin Clients technology -Six Sigma Certification a plus. Solid analytical ability to determine and develop solutions to moderately complex problems -Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment. -CAD (AutoCAD) experience and ability to read and interpret electrical and control drawings -Excellent communications skills (verbal and written). -Demonstrated ability to provide solutions to basic project and process engineering problems. -Solid knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI applications (including programming) along with communications within enterprise and control networked systems. -Systems analysis and troubleshooting. -Experience with Industrial Database systems (WonderWare). -Demonstrated experience in the engineering and implementation of 480V (Switchgear, Power Distribution Panel, Motor Control Center) and 4160V Power Distribution Systems.

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
