Counter Sales Representative

Assist customers at the counter with sales, orders, and inventory support.

Tasks

-Use hands to finger, handle, or feel: Operates a computer and other office machinery - Constantly – at least 51% -Assist with daily restocking, and keeping branch, counter area clean and organized. -Focus on sales @ our counter, coordinate delivery business and building customer relationships. -Stay informed and educated on product knowledge – Rexel provided. -Assist with warehouse functions as required, including inventory, receiving, shipping, stocking, and coordinating our daily & midnight deliveries. -Inform manager of any potentially hazard or elevated situation pertaining to safety or the satisfaction of a customer. -Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with their purchases and processing of their orders.

-Must have a great attitude, be punctual & consistent attendance required. -Up to 25 pounds - Frequently – 21% to 50% -Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines. -Exposed to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and/or exposure to heat and cold - Occasionally – up to 20% -Walk: Must be able to move about inside/outside office or work location - Constantly – at least 51% -Handles or works with potentially dangerous equipment - Occasionally – up to 20% -Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: Must be able to crouch down to stock shelves, pick up boxes, or position oneself to maintain computers in the lab/under desks/in server closet - Constantly – at least 51% -Sit: Must be able to remain in a stationary position - Frequently – 21% to 50% -Demonstrated knowledge including reading, writing and communication skills required. -Up to 50 pounds - Occasionally – up to 20% -Talk, hear, taste, smell: Must be able to use senses to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions - Constantly – at least 51% -Climb or balance: Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder, forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment - Occasionally – up to 20% -Strong organizational skills. -Minimum computer skills & phone skills are necessary. -Travels to offsite locations - Occasionally – up to 20% -High School or GED - Required. -Some electrical product knowledge and experience, preferred, but Rexel will train. -Ability to type on a computer keyboard. -Electrical distribution experience preferred. -Up to 10 pounds - Constantly – at least 51%
