Tasks

As a IT Service Desk Engineer you will be responsible for handling incoming requests for support from customers in a timely and professional manner. The emphasis is on recording information correctly, fault finding and troubleshooting and liaising with 3rd party providers where necessary. Primarily an office-based position will be some onsite work at clients' sites. This role is x5 days a week on site and you will provide technical support to a variety of users. -Assisting and mentoring team members. -Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries -Design, installation, and configuration of new equipment and systems. -Provide technical support to a wide variety of users via phone or email -Researching, creating, and deploying security best practices (firewalls, 365 etc) -Produce and maintain documentation in relation to hardware, software configurations and standard build information. -Assisting with projects as required -Log all calls on the Service Desk ticketing system and maintain documentation -Pool Cars to use for client visits -Communicate with customers as required - keeping them informed of incident progress and escalating internally or with third parties where required. -Remote and onsite support of customers IT systems

What You Bring

You will need at least 3 years experience within an IT Service Desk role supporting Windows / O365 / Exchange / Active Directory etc -Wide experience of client system application management, configuration and support, -Excellent telephone manner and strong customer service skills -Strong Knowledge of configuring and managing Microsoft 365 systems, -Even better if you have MSP background -Experience of Intune configuration and management -Full clean driver license -Understanding of virtualization technologies (Hyper-V) -Strong Knowledge of Windows server systems Including active directory, DNS, DHCP, etc. -Proficiency in Active Directory/Group Policy, -Strong Knowledge of supporting Windows client systems, -Knowledge of domains, basic web hosting, SPF, DNS, installing SSL's -Experience with Microsoft Azure environment and systems -Good Knowledge of SharePoint -Minimum 3-year experience in a similar role -Knowledge of scripting tools (PowerShell) -Good knowledge of troubleshooting hardware including UPS, NAS, Printers -Experience of break-fix/upgrading hardware -Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding skills -Experience Using ConnectWise tools would be advantageous. -Excellent understanding of networking -switches, routers , VLANS, Wireless etc. -Excellent documentation Skills -Excellent knowledge of email systems (Exchange and Microsoft 365)
