Manage cleaning services for university residence halls and conferences
As our Service Manager / Housekeeping Manager you’ll be site-based and work with a diverse team of a Deputy Service Manager, two Site Supervisors and about 50 cleaners. You’ll be the first point of contact for the client, delivering service excellence, trusted consultative advice and optimum customer satisfaction. As the technical expert for the cleaning solution across the campus, you will be comfortable managing and monitoring performance management information against the contract requirements. Our contract with the university includes all residential and communal areas on campus all year round, with peak periods for conferences. During term time, you will provide motivation and support to your team on the day-to-day delivery of excellent service. During the busy conferencing periods, you will be responsible for managing the arrivals and departures cleaning as the residences are transformed into a hotel-style service.
This would be a great opportunity for someone who has previously worked as a Housekeeping Manager in the hospitality industry. Are you self-motivated and organised, with excellent communication skills, experience working with KPIs and budgets and the ability to build outstanding relationships with customers and clients in a fast-paced environment? You must have great IT and financial skills which will enable you to use client systems and interpret data to optimise resource planning especially during the busy conferencing periods, work with and towards KPIs and budgets and to price and invoice any non-routine work at the appropriate level. Do you have sound experience as a Service Manager, Housekeeping Manager, or an Account Manager in the Contract Cleaning industry or hospitality, either for a single site or an area, and are looking for your next challenge?
