Tasks

This is a full-time on-site role for a Hire Controller based in Durham. The Hire Controller will be responsible for managing customer inquiries, coordinating and processing equipment orders, ensuring efficient utilization of the fleet, and scheduling equipment deliveries and collections. This role requires liaising with customers, sales teams, and transport departments to deliver a seamless and efficient hire service. The Hire Controller will also maintain accurate records and deliver exceptional customer service at all times.

What You Bring

-Problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and capability to work in a fast-paced environment -Ability to work collaboratively with teams in a professional manner -Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills -Experience in scheduling, coordinating logistics, or operations management -Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database systems, and administrative tools -Knowledge of plant machinery and equipment would be advantageous -Previous experience in the plant hire or construction industry is a plus
