Tasks

-Ensuring timely completion of preventative and predictive maintenance -Monitoring work activities through regular site visits to ensure high-quality mechanical execution -Building strong relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and internal teams -Actively participating in near-miss reporting and safety initiatives -Managing contractors on specific jobs and projects -Ensuring all planned and scheduled tasks have appropriate job plans, scaffolding, and parts in place -Driving continuous improvement in safety and environmental standards -Managing commissioning and handover processes -Enforcing compliance with safety rules and procedures, ensuring safe working practices across the team -Working as part of a multi-disciplinary maintenance team -Conducting safety briefings and toolbox talks -Taking ownership of a specific plant process area -Troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues to improve plant availability -Overseeing construction and installation of new projects -Planning and executing major shutdowns and overhauls -Scoping and delivering projects that enhance business performance

What You Bring

-A track record of operating as a subject matter expert in mechanical engineering -IOSH or equivalent qualification; NEBOSH certification is desirable -Practical and technical experience with refractory systems is essential -Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to instruct and train others effectively -Demonstrated expertise in delivering mechanical engineering best practices, including safe asset design and regulatory compliance -A degree in Mechanical Engineering; an MBA or Master’s degree would be an advantage -Strong organisational skills, with the ability to communicate, motivate, and influence cross-functional teams
