The Role
Overview
Install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain fire/security systems on site.

Tasks
-Performs required commissioning documentation. Provide accurate information for as-builts documentation. -Performs self-study (reading, research, and practice) to obtain technical proficiency on required products and application. -Maintains appropriate local and National Fire / Security Industry Certifications. -Adheres to safety standards and local and national codes, with a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety. -Completes paperwork and onsite documentation as required. -Assists in monitoring project execution per plan. Report problems or changes to supervisor or management. -Communicates with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Continuous proactive customer interactions including an in-depth understanding of customer(s) needs wants and systems currently in place.

What You Bring
-Attention to detail. -Proficient in using voltmeter and reading wiring diagrams/schematics. -Electronics certification from an accredited technical school or military electronic training desired. -Able to troubleshoot access control, Fire Alarm and CCTV/IP camera issues. -Rhode Island and Massachusetts low voltage electrical licenses a plus. -High school diploma plus five years’ experience in installing fire / security systems required. -MUST HAVE - CT Low Voltage Electrical License. (L6,L5,C6,C5) -Resolves systems problems, either troubleshooting the system or advising others on how to resolve problems. Requires understanding of core and third-party fire / security products, software and systems / electrical technology. -Above Basic Computer skills required. -Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts.
