The Role

Overview

Inspect, diagnose, and repair commercial and tactical vehicles, estimating repair costs.

Tasks

-Responsible for entire vehicle inspection using precision measuring instruments, tools, and technical manuals or commercial manual equivalent to include technical bulletins for specifications. -Performs vehicle classification and estimated cost of repair/damage. -Be involved in diagnosing the source of the problem and determining the extent of repairs and make cost estimate. -Determines and orders repair parts for each work order using correct technical/operator -Responsible for entire vehicle inspection to include the prime mover, power train, transmission, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical subsystems.

What You Bring

-Basic computer skills required. -CDL license with air brakes rating preferred. -Minimum three (3) years of experience in the repair of tactical or commercial vehicles and equipment. -Have knowledge of teardown and fault determinations. -Valid driver’s license. -Ability to obtain National Agency Check with Investigation for computer access. -PPE usage is required. -High School graduate or equivalent. -Knowledge of tactical and commercial vehicle and equipment maintenance. -While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee may use repeated motions that include the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
