Senior Data Analyst-2

Overview

Maintain and validate security reference data across asset classes using Eagle, Bloomberg, etc.

Tasks

-Conduct security master maintenance across multiple asset types — equities, fixed income, derivatives, structured products, and funds. -Participate in UAT testing, change management, and production deployment validation for system enhancements or platform migrations. -Maintain comprehensive process documentation and ensure adherence to internal data governance and control frameworks. -Assists other areas of the business to model the potential outcomes of implementing various business strategies. -Helps develop data mining models, statistical reporting and data analysis methodologies to identify key customer segments and to simulate impact of potential future business decisions. -Recognizes areas of opportunity and risk through data analysis and modelling and reports findings. -Perform end-to-end setup, enrichment, and maintenance of securities and reference data in Eagle and related data management platforms. -Validate and reconcile data between Bloomberg, CRD, GoldenSource, Eagle, and internal systems to ensure accuracy and completeness. -Execute and monitor daily data feeds, ensuring timely updates and resolving exceptions or breaks. -Collaborate with Front Office, Portfolio Management, Compliance, and Operations teams to resolve data discrepancies and support trade enablement. -Works to develop detailed reports and conclusions for business, finance and investment management based on data summaries. -Handle ad-hoc data requests, issue analysis, and reporting as required by business users or management. -Support data quality initiatives, including automation, process improvements, and data standardization efforts. -Identifies trends found from modelling and informs other lines of business such as product development and marketing decisions. -Provides information for additional research and analysis in line with statistical methodology. -Assists with mathematical, statistical, and economic methods that determine market conditions, project consumer needs and inform business initiatives.

What You Bring

-Investment Banking / Asset Management Industry experience in an offshored operations environment. -Ability to work relatively independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment -Exposure to GoldenSource or similar Master Data Management (MDM) tools is highly desirable. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder interactions (mainly US-based teams). -Adaptable to changing priorities and technology enhancements. -Understanding of trade lifecycle and reference data’s role in -Familiarity with data feeds (e.g., Bloomberg BPIPE, Refinitiv, Markit) and static data integration workflows. -Strong working knowledge of Eagle (PACE, STAR, Data Management) and data management processes. -Collaborative and able to work in a fast-paced, global environment. -Strong ownership and accountability mindset. -Experience working with security data across asset classes including equities, fixed income and derivatives -Prioritization and problem solving skills -Basic knowledge of writing SQL queries. -Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data reconciliation skills. -Willingness to work in US time zone (evening/night IST).Ability to analyze process/data exceptions and proven attention to detail.Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products (particularly Excel and VBA) and SQL. -Experience working with middle office or front office support environments. -Very good communication skills, written and verbal -Proficient with Bloomberg (BBG Terminal, BBG AIM, BBG PORT) and Charles River (CRD) applications for data sourcing and validation. -Prior exposure to automation or process improvement initiatives (Alteryx, Python, VBA, etc.). -University (Degree) Preferred -2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred -Knowledge of market data sources, products and tools -SQL or data query/reporting knowledge. -Solid understanding of financial instruments, including Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Structured Products. -Experience working with entity data across investment vehicles including pooled products, institutional separately managed portfolios or retail separately managed portfolios
