Tasks
-Oversee contracting processes in compliance with procurement and finance policies, including delegation of financial authority, under the guidance of the Head of Procurement. -Provide backup support within the Procurement team as needed. -Actively contribute to the global Procurement team by promoting best practices, standard processes, and governance. -Collaborate with global procurement team to drive optimal outcomes for the company. -Deliver on value creation targets and maintain value tracking systems. -Develop and execute sourcing strategies to reduce costs, optimize working capital, and manage risk. -Serve as the subject matter expert for raw materials and communicate category plans to stakeholders. -Support new product and sustainability projects within the company, pushing for sustainability data and improved ESG performance of suppliers. -Support supply chain, trading operations, and site teams with supplier performance issues, complaints, and volume forecasts.

What You Bring
-Must be fluent in English (written and verbal). Proficiency in Spanish preferred. -Basic chemicals or petrochemical raw material procurement experience a plus. -Effective decision-making and purchasing capabilities. -Additional training in Procurement, Supply Chain, Sustainability, and/or equivalent. Master’s Degree and/or MBA preferred. -Outstanding interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity. -Proven track record in procurement with strong strategic and operational capabilities. -Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. -Ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships. -Advanced proficiency in MS Office, preferably SAP and/or ERP experience. -Strong collaboration skills with senior stakeholders and peers. -Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Chemistry. -Minimum 5 years’ direct spend Procurement experience preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment. Prefer 7 to 10 years’ demonstrated experience. -Experience working in global, cross-cultural environments. -Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (10-25%) both domestically and globally. -Strategic thinker with strong planning and organizational skills.
